Branding - River Cottage

'River Cottage' is a canteen located in Plymouth where food is cooked with fresh, local organic ingredients. They wanted to update their double-sided A4 menu. In order to keep the printing costs inside their budget, no more than 3 colours were to be used. The inspiration for this project is the area where the restaurant is located - Plymouth's harbour, next to a lighthouse. Keeping that in mind, the front part of the menu has been composed using three elements: the typography, a photograph of a lighthouse and the lines that represent the sea, created with acrylic paint. Combining them all, the result is a clean and traditional design, but it also has a fresh, modern touch.
