Packaging - Viña Salazar
Viña Salazar is a Peruvian malbec producer. The client's assignment is the creation of a label for one of their wines. The design must take reference from peruvian culture and shouldn't have more than five colours. Following these directions, I researched peruvian traditions in order to define a graphic style. My final design was inspired by inca patterns - looking at pictures of existing examples, I created patterns of my own to compose the label. The colours chosen are deep blue and gold, both used in the inca culture. The contrast between them makes the design eyecatching, but due to the simplicity of the shapes, strokes and colours it remains elegant and clean.
